Trent Hills – Fri., Jan. 13, 2023 - Matt Chii, rapper and chef, has just signed his first music contract. It’s a time to celebrate as he continues to pursue his career in the music industry.

We asked Matt to explain how this all came together and he wrote the following for Trent Hills Now: “Jan 5th, 2023 I had a 45 minute video call with Fonaibeatz Productions, he (Andrzej Pieszak) seemed very interested that I had 6 album releases. He listened to quite a few tracks and told me that he really liked my latest single track “Play For Keeps” from the “Far From Perfect” album.

“He basically asked me what I wanted out of music, when I started and how far I was willing to take this career, and I just told him that I’m hoping that one day I would really like my music to really take that extra step into the big leagues. He asked if I was willing to do more music videos to promote the new projects we’d be working on and offered videographers to shoot the video, told him I do have that area covered for recording that sort of thing, but that might change in the long run. This meeting just really made me feel like my music really took me somewhere and for someone to even notice what I was doing is a big deal for me.

“Next thing I know he said that he’s sending me documents and a contract to sign and that was the end of the meeting.

“From the bottom of my heart I’d like to thank everyone for following my music journey and wishing many blessings to you this year.”

Trent Hills Now did an interview with Matt back in November, 2021 when he was about to release “Far From Perfect,” for Valentine’s Day, 2022.

At that time he expressed his hope that this would result in more gigs and get him known in the bigger music scene.

His first recorded rap song was called “Hands Up”.

“That was my biggest single that I dropped in my first album,” he said at the time.

He says his rapping is never dark, always uplifting and positive in tone and words.
