Here is Savery’s Statement:
Hello my name is Dennis Savery. This election is important to the residents of Trent Hills to help select the key People who have the vision to help shape, build and maintain the integrity and lifestyles to which we’ve come to enjoy in beautiful Trent Hills.
In particular, Ward 5, my Ward, which encompasses the Village of Hastings and North Percy the Residents have been blessed with its beautiful waterfront setting, First Class Marina, wonderful Trails System, The Sports Field House, local Public School, Community Churches, Downtown Businesses and its ongoing New Home Construction Projects.
My wife Sandy & I have lived in Trent Hills for over 28 years.
I’ve been actively working in the Real Estate Business for 28 years. I’m hard working and dedicated to providing Real Estate Services to my Clients based on Integrity, Honesty and Sincerity. I own the local Hastings Laundramat building & business for 22 years now. I was part of the Last sitting Council before Amalgamation in the Village of Hastings.

Past Member for the Development and Creation of the Hastings Village Marina Management Committee. Past Director for Otonabee Region Conservation Authority.
Past Member of the Hastings Community Policing with the OPP. Past Member of Hastings Parent Council for Hastings Public School. Past Member for Hastings Downtown & Waterfront Improvement Committee. Past Member for the Trent Hills Economic Development Committee. Recently stepped aside as the Chair of the Trent Hills & District Chamber of Commerce to run for Council. Current major Fund Raiser for our Annual Trent Hills Canada Day Fireworks Celebration. Recently volunteered my Services for the Crook Rapids Jamboree Weekend in Ward 5 Trent Hills.
So, as you can see, I’ve poured my heart and soul into this community for several years supporting and giving my time to make Trent Hills a better place to live, work and play.
My strength and commitment to you is my experience, great People Skills, Negotiating Tactics, Motivation and a good understanding of Local Businesses.
I will continue to lobby on your behalf to our Upper Tier Governments to get their commitment to our New Hospital. Keep the movement going forward for the Trent Hills new Recreational Wellness Centre.
Entertain Community Round table discussions on the future use of the Hastings Arena Lands, former BallPark and topics that are important to the Residents of Ward 5, Trent Hills.
Economic Development by exploring ways to create new Business Ventures, Grow Tourism, create new and more affordable Housing, expand our Waterfront Features and update our Strategic Planning, Zoning By-Laws with our Official Plan.
Maintain our level of Services while watching the bottom line to help keep our Taxes in line.
By serving the Residents in Ward 5, Trent Hills and working with my Peers in Council we can continue to make Trent Hills an even better place to live, stay and play.
