West Northumberland Wild girls hockey teams are headed your way!!

As the 2021/2022 hockey season draws to a close, the West Northumberland Girls Hockey Association (WNGHA) will have 4 girls hockey teams representing the association this year at the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Provincial Championships taking place across the GTA from April 8-10, 2022.
The Stevenson Building Products U11 B team, Cobourg Firefighters Local 1732 U18 team, Senior C and Senior B teams will all be representing the Wild at the Provincial Championships this season.
Locally, outside of the WNGHA, 2 additional Senior Ladies teams will also be participating in the Provincial Championships; the Cobourg Senior BB team and the Baltimore Predators Senior C team.
The WNGHA is planning to focus on growing girls’ hockey for next season now that COVID-19 restrictions are starting to lift with their First Shift Program that introduced 30 local girls to hockey wrapping up in the next few weeks and an Esso Fun Day where girls are able to try hockey in a safe and comfortable environment scheduled for May 7.
