Campbellford – Tues., Dec. 21, 2021 – As we enter the busy holiday season, Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) is reminding community members to stay healthy and stay vigilant in the fight against COVID-19 by following all public health guidance for our region. This includes washing your hands frequently, wearing a mask when outside your household and getting vaccinated, including getting your booster when eligible.

If you do need to access emergency services, the CMH Emergency Department will continue to operate 24/7 over the holiday season.

Please remember that COVID-19 restrictions remain in place. Masks are required to be worn at all times and visitors are not permitted. Exceptions are made for minor children who can be accompanied by one adult/guardian and adults who need supportive care may also be accompanied by one person.

For non-urgent care, there are options available to you beyond the CMH Emergency Department. Start by contacting your primary care provider. Many primary care providers are offering telephone, virtual and in-person visits, depending on the nature of your health concern. Telehealth Ontario is also available. This is a free, confidential service you can call to get health advice or information. A Registered Nurse will take your call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call toll-free: 1-866-797-0000.

The Trent Hills COVID-19 assessment centre remains open and appointments can be made by calling 705-395-1801. Many COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue to operate over the Holiday Season as well. Appointments can be made online at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/ or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1‑833‑943‑3900.
