Unable to hold an in-person graduation on October 8th 2020 due to public gathering restrictions

Alternative plans are in progress to celebrate the graduates in October.

The following is a statement from the school’s KPR District School Board website.

In May of 2020 it was decided to postpone graduation until October 8th, 2020 in the hope of being able to host a traditional graduation ceremony to celebrate the class of 2020.

Unfortunately, we are unable to hold an in-person graduation on October 8th 2020 due to public gathering restrictions.

Alternative plans are in progress to celebrate the graduates in October.

A graduation ceremony video is being produced that will replace the in-person commencement traditionally held. The video will be made readily available on YouTube for viewing and will celebrate each 2019/20 graduate of CDHS.

In addition to this, individual graduate packages are being prepared for each graduate. The package will include the student’s diploma, certificates, transcripts, individual awards received and a 2019/2020 yearbook.

A release date for the video and pick-up dates for the grad packages, gowns and caps (if previously ordered) will be announced as soon as possible through Twitter, the school website and Edsby.
