WHAT: Pride Month Church Service
WHERE: Mill Creek Park, Warkworth
WHEN: Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 10:20 a.m.
June is International Pride Month which is celebrated by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LGBTQ+) people each year.
The service will be featuring music by the church’s Kids Club, choir and band.
After the service there will be a lunch, refreshments, Pride cupcakes and more fun music!
St. Paul’s is an affirming congregation celebrating diversity and inclusion of all and “we are showing our pride by hosting this special service”.
The month of June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. As a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBT people have had in the world.
This service is open to everyone.
Please bring your own lawn chair.
